Study about Hypothermic-anesthesia during Intraperitoneal Hyperthermo-chemotheraputic Perfusion Combined with Surgery in Far-advanced Stomach Cancers

Abstract
Intraperitoneal hyperthermo-chemotherapeutic perfusion (IHCP) is gaining popularity in the western world as a method of prevention and treatment of peritoneal metastases following gastrointestinal cancer. The procedure presents significant
problems
to
the anesthesiologist with regard to temperature control, fluid and electrolyte balance and postoperative care.
During IHCP, there is a potential for heat gain from the peritoneal cavity. Several workers have reported a significant increase in pulmonary arterial temperature despite pre-operative cooling.
Therefore hypothermic anesthesia is very helpful during IHCP and accurate monitoring of temperature is essential.
We tried in lowering a patient's temperature from 32¡É before IHCP start.
